Thank-you to our wonderful clients, families, and friends!  It’s been a fantastic year and we’re looking forward to 2019!

This year we were fortunate to be able to support some wonderful causes in our community.

Brigadoon Village offers summer camp programs for children and youth living with conditions and other life challenges.  The ‘It Takes a Village’ program gives the opportunity for kids to attend a summer camp to do all kinds of fun things.

The Street Connection is a mobile soup kitchen that operates in four low-income areas of HRM. Volunteers distribute food and loaves of bread to an average of three hundred men, women and children each month.

Phoenix Programs supports  youth between the ages of 11 and 24, offering programs such as youth outreach, youth and family therapy, health services, housing support, crisis support , employment support and much more.

Ward 5 Neighbourhood Centre has been providing community programs for over 30 years. In an average year the Centre prepares and serves more than 18,000 hot meals to children and seniors, and operates St. Mark’s Food Bank, which distributes approximately 40 tons of food to as many as 4,000 people (almost half being children). Ward 5 also provides a wide range of programs for children and seniors such as: pre- and after-school children’s care, senior’s dances and more.

Motionball is a not-for-profit organization that builds awareness and raises funds for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation (SOCF).  More than 600 young professionals attended the motionball Halifax Gala held at Casino Nova Scotia in November. The gala and its sister event the Marathon of Sport held every July have combined to raise over $125,000 toward the national motionball cause that is now contributing in excess of $1.5M yearly to Special Olympics.

In addition to the organizations mentioned above, our advisors and staff support a number of other organizations including Make-A-Wish,  Annapolis Valley MS Bike, a number of sports and music sponsorships, theatre, food banks, youth programs, and more. We’re extremely proud of all our team does to help make HRM a better place for everyone.
